I play this 9-hole course often and it is a pleasure to play, as the greens are well keep, and the fairways always playable, the course is a par 34, 1941 metres with the longest hole measuring 366 metres and is an easy-walking course amongst lovely scenery and mature trees.
It is a cool little course especially if you are short on time and don’t want to spend all day at golf course.
A round here is great fun – and can be challenging for golfers of all skill levels, or a perfect warm up for a round ‘next door’, at the world-acclaimed Wairakei International Golf Course (just a short stroll from the Resort).
Highly recommend this if you are short of time or just want to challenge your friends to a casual 9 holes.
The course is located just a few minutes north of Lake Taupo Township, parking is in Wairakei Hotel and entrance is via a tunnel under SH1
